Elizabeth Wallingford Old Washington Preservation Inc. (hereafter referred to as ewowp) is a trust fund to preserve Washington KY.
Because of EWOWP’s track record restoring other buildings in Washington, the city of Maysville is leasing us the Marshall Key House for 1 dollar a year, so we can undertake its restoration/preservation.
The EWOWP board requested proposals to help figure out how to best use this property to communicate the part slavery played in our local history and honor the power of Ms. Stowe’s book.
The search process lead us to retain Jackie Barton. She is the principal of Birch Wood Planning, and lives in Westerville, OH. Here was her proposal for the Marshall Key House Interpretive Plan
