Haven’s Chapel at 2222 Old Main Street
HAVEN’S CHAPEL – Early Methodist Church formed in 1882. Began as a one-room frame building in 1874 during post-slavery era by free persons of color. Church destroyed by fire on three occasions; current structure built 1941 and continues to hold services today.
