Post Office (Current)

WASHINGTON POST OFFICE –  The log cabins housing the post office and private business were moved to their current sites and reconstructed; original stone fireplace, dove-tail notching. Artifacts on display include an old desk that survived the fire that destroyed the Washington Courthouse, original wooden post office boxes from the first postal station, and an early 20th-century mailbox. Stop in and send a postcard from the only working log cabin Post Office in America!
